Job Description:

We are looking for a true people person with a strong background in community engagement, building, and growth. Experience with social media community-building strategies and content amplification will be considered a strong advantage. MarkUp is an innovative collaboration tool that helps teams save massive amounts of time by streamlining the feedback process, and that has earned us a sizable user base. We want to capture that enthusiasm and create a strong community around our brand to help us drive future growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Focus on finding creative ways to engage our existing users and create a strong, active community on Slack and social media
  • Help identify the best channels of communication for MarkUp
  • Leverage learning from our existing users to plan and implement social media communications campaigns
  • Work with the team to identify and map out topics relevant to the audiences with both short and long-term goals in mind
  • Respond to comments, questions, and mentions on our social media accounts
  • Collaborate with designers, product team, and external vendors on creating relevant and impactful content pieces for specific channels
  • Work alongside other team members to find effective ways to distribute and amplify our content
  • Track and proactively find ways to improve our results, like engagement rates, follower count, etc.

Practical stuff we anticipate you having

  • 3+ years of hands-on community engagement, management, or social media management experience, preferably in SaaS
  • Strong grasp of current social media trends
  • Experience launching community initiatives (e.g. interactive chat sessions, ambassador programs, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A dual-minded approach: You’re highly creative and an excellent communicator but can also be process-driven, think scale, and rely on data to make decisions
  • Native or near-native level of English
  • Experience with social media content creation is a strong plus
