Job Description:

As a Director of Marketing Data and Technology, you understand the value of 1st party data and the impact of personalized marketing. You will play a major role in building scalable programmatic capabilities that impact online and offline channels. This position is data-driven, requires creativity and will drive the customer data strategies for new and mature products and emerging markets. In order to support all departments, this team is well-versed in marketing, analytics and technology. Therefore, this director should also be well-versed in advanced bidding techniques, website conversion optimization, retargeting, multi-touch attribution, A/B testing, and more.

- Assist in the implementation and evolution of the Oportun’s marketing technology stack
- Develop and implement advertising measurement capabilities for proprietary platforms, like Facebook and Google
- Work in collaboration with the Marketing, Engineering and Analytics teams on acquisition and retention strategies
- Co-create the customer lifecycle platform leveraging 1st party data to best serve our customers
- Ensure tagging and tracking tools are correctly implemented for marketing campaigns and owned-digital properties
- Closely monitor emerging trends in marketing technology, digital advertising and privacy

- Loves all things related to marketing, data and problem-solving
- 8+ years of marketing with an emphasis on digital marketing; financial services, ecommerce or agency experience preferred
- High-level of experience with marketing technology tools such as, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Tealium, Iterable, SendGrid, Adobe Analytics, Display & Video 360 (formerly DoubleClick), BigQuery, etc. (must have strong experience in Tealium)
- Track record scaling display campaigns to million-dollar budgets across Facebook, Google and other programmatic platforms
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Excellent communicator, with ability to work effectively across teams
- Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree is a plus
- Spanish fluency preferred
