Job Description:

You’re a top-notch Marketing Executive with a creative flair and a love of words. You have years of experience in Marketing, and you’re confident that your work produces tangible, measurable results. You’re confident in managing a project end-to-end, and in prioritising your workload to ensure that work is planned clearly, communicated effectively, and executed efficiently.

You write incredible copy. You can apply appropriate tone of voice and commercial tact to any kind of subject matter and will accept nothing less than impeccable spelling, grammar, and formatting. You’re data-driven. If you can’t measure it, you can’t improve it – so you shouldn’t do it. You’re an excellent communicator, confident and professional via email, over video call, and in person.

You’re a self-reliant go-getter who gets a kick out of identifying new opportunities and a buzz from seeing increased engagement. You can work under a lot of pressure while still maintaining a positive attitude toward everyone around you. You’re comfortable wearing multiple hats, and don’t wait for work to fall into your lap - actively looking for ways to improve our service. You can give and take constructive criticism, offer insightful feedback, and have light bulb moments on a regular basis.

You will report directly to the Head of Marketing, but you’ll need to think on your feet and hit the ground running. You will eat, sleep, and breathe all-things-marketing related, and nothing will stop you from revolutionising the world of insurance. We're a primarily remote organisation so you can work from anywhere across the UK.

We’re a start-up, which means we’re moving very fast and working very hard – and this is a busy role working with a lot of mission-critical projects that must be attended to concurrently. Key responsibilities:

  • Writing amazing copy in the Locket tone of voice for a variety of audiences, e.g. customers, investors, partners, colleagues. (Copywriting)

  • Creating and optimising data and research-led paid ad campaigns, via Google Ads, various social media platforms, and more... (PPC)

  • Assisting in optimising the website for search – ensuring content depth & EAT. (SEO)

  • Developing and enhancing all digital activity using data-driven insights to drive and track conversion and engagement. (CRO / UX)

  • Collaborating with our content and creative teams to commission and create compelling, shareable content. (Content)

  • Identifying opportunities to distribute our content to third-party placements such as blogs, influencers etc.

  • Growing relevant audiences across social platforms to ensure greater reach and engaged traffic. (Social)

  • Proofreading, design testing, and ensuring brand consistency across all user touchpoints.

  • Analysing and fine-tuning all external communications.

  • Supporting other departments within Locket as required.

Core Competencies:

  • Website CMS experience (Ideally Wordpress)

  • Proficient in utilising email management / CMS platforms (Ideally Hubspot, Mailchimp)

  • Fully confident in audience targeting / segmentation

  • Copywriting for SEO and CRO

  • Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Search Console experience

Beneficial Competencies:

  • Analytical services – e.g. Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Data Studio, Power BI,

  • Google Ads Editor

  • Facebook Business Manager

  • Figma

The person we’ll hire will have a strong mix of the below:

  • Impeccable attention to detail

  • Effective UX writing, and copywriting for conversion

  • Great interpersonal skills - an excellent communicator and storyteller

  • At least 3 years relevant experience
