Marketing Manager The primary goal of the Marketing Manager is to attract, convert, and retain students, communities, and donors, and to convince them of the AEP’s value. We are looking for someone who is passionate about our mission and excited to bring AEP into every corner of the United States. Ideally this person would be a marketing generalist, someone who can do a little of everything, and is interested in growing with our organization.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and oversee AEP’s Google Ad Grants strategy
  • Build awareness of AEP and drive site traffic through public relations efforts
  • Oversee SEO/SEM efforts
  • Collaborate with Creative Director to develop visual campaigns
  • Ensure all company materials and messages follow brand guidelines and clearly communicate AEP’s mission
  • Equip all employees to be brand ambassadors through training, guidance, and collaboration
  • Serve as primary contact for all departmental marketing needs and media requests
  • Ensure that all marketing-related resources are maintained and properly organized
  • Oversee the marketing budget and investment of marketing resources
  • Monitor, analyze, and measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives to inform strategies
  • Define brand strategies for new and existing programs and collaborate with the creative and programming departments to produce integrated marketing activations for these programs on appropriate platforms

Qualifications

  • Experience in a marketing leadership role
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Experience with Google Ads
  • Comfortable working within Salesforce, Google Workspace, Slack, and Zoom
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of SEO/SEM best practices
  • Self-starter
  • Quick learner

Please note all positions at the American Exchange Project are designed to be completely remote and can be done from anywhere in the United States. The AEP Team meets 2-4 times per year for team-building conferences that may require travel.
