At Workast we are building the work management platform for small businesses and startups. We started off as a Slack integration with 100,0000+ installations and today we are a platform where teams come together to organize their work, collaborate and get things done. We are a small remote team, we run a profitable business, we value work/life balance and async communications.

The role

So far marketing efforts have been carried out by the founders and we are at the point where we are looking for someone to come in and take over all marketing related responsibilities and help us grow the business with their expertise. You will work alongside the CEO to define priorities, strategies and channels.

This is a hands-on role, where you may need to craft some content, come up with a cover image for an article, etc. We are looking for someone that can take initiative, propose new ideas, take ownership and lead. If you have an entrepreneurial spirit and are self-motivated, this role is for you.

Your experience

Our core strategy is around content (video and writing) and SEO so we expect strong and proven experience in this area. We run a SaaS business so you need to have worked with a similar company at least once and be familiar with all related metrics. Our industry is highly competitive, so paid advertising is not our priority but a nice to have. Experience building and managing a community is a plus.

Your responsibilities

Day to day activities may include but are not limited to:

  • Manage a marketing budget
  • Manage and execute our marketing calendar
  • Organize and execute the launch of new product features and tools.
  • Create unique content that is aligned with our keywords and goals
  • Manage inbound requests for guest posts and link exchanges
  • Work with other websites to exchange links, content and feature Workast
  • Ensure that our blog has fresh, relevant and unique content.
  • Use HARO to collaborate with other creators.
  • Monitor SEO keywords and metrics
  • Use Google Analytics to track and measure success
  • Manage social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Twitter, TikTok). We use Planable.com and Repurpose.io to manage our social media posts
  • Send our monthly newsletter
  • Find and manage relevant content creators
  • Promote Workast in communities and directories
